Head Communications AT & Cluster Region II Europe (m/f/d), Vienna, Austria

Your Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Building and supporting trusting relationships between the Sandoz brand and its portfolio as well as its internal and external stakeholders
• Focus on the development, implementation and execution of internal and external communication strategy and programs within Cluster II Region Europe (organization of 30 European countries) and Sandoz Commercial Operations in Austria to support the business and to maximize the reputation of the company
• Executing strategy and programs in all internal communications channels with clear scope/channel (e.g. intranet, internal social media, mailings, cycle meetings, management roadshows, staff meetings ...)
• Advising senior management on communication topics, reputation and crisis and issue management
• Spokesperson for media activities regarding the brand Sandoz, close collaboration with Novartis Austria Group communications and building relationships with Austrian media representatives (esp. health care, economy)
• Developing, implementing and executing communication strategy and programs for Cluster II based on activities of Region Europe
• Managing relations with local country communicators in Cluster II and knowledge transfer / coaching responsibility
• Advising Cluster II leadership members on communication topics, reputation and crisis and issue management

What you’ll bring to the role:
• University degree in e.g. marketing, communications, public affairs or similar
• Profound experience (5 or more years) in communications positions (esp. change, reputation and issue management)
• Experience in the pharma / health care industry preferred
• Strong knowledge in matrix organization
• Proficiency in English and German (written and spoken)

• Strong strategic vision and problem solving skills including significant communication, teamwork / consensus building, influencing and negotiation skills

We offer a market-competitive base salary in line with your qualification, experience and individual competencies. The base pay is composed of a market oriented excess payment and the respective amount according to the Austrian collective agreement (at least € 61,167.54 per year on a full time basis).
