Wien: Dyson sucht Junior PR Manager (m/f)

Dyson is a global technology company founded in 1993 in Malmesbury, UK. Over 11,500 people, including James Dyson himself, spend their days strategizing, inventing technology and telling the Dyson story to the world. It's all about better ideas and better technologies to solve other people problems.
Since 2000 Dyson can be found on the Austrian Market. About 30 people are now responsible for the marketing and selling of Dyson's products. We are on an expansion drive and have many exciting plans for the future, therefore we are looking for a:

Junior PR Manager

-Vienna, Austria-

At Dyson, we never stand still. It’s the entrepreneur in us. By 2020, there will be 100 new machines, four new product portfolios and our headcount will have doubled – giving you lots to talk about. As a PR Executive, you’ll share with the media what goes on behind our research and development doors. So that everyone will be as excited about what we’re doing, as we are.

Accountabilities:

Your task is to raise brand awareness. Acting proactively and reactively to the day’s news you’ll use your contacts within the Austrian media to get our messages across. Building strong media relations and securing positive reviews through practical demonstrations of our products will be key to our success, as will writing press releases, responding to PR requests for information and media interviews. You’ll also help to manage events and provide full admin support. And, to ensure consistency, you’ll align local activity with broader global group communications. In fact, you’ll do whatever’s needed to make sure our brands get the attention they deserve.

  • Responsibility for media relations, from the implementation of editorial work to press trips and active networking in the marketplace
  • Social Media Lead, Project - and Content Management for all relevant channels
  • From support to project management (events, PR events, James Dyson Award)
  • Interface function PR and marketing
  • Seeding/Product Placement
  • Issue Management and Lobbying Tasks and Crisis Communication

Skills/ Experience:

Ideally, you’ll have experience of writing and developing external communications within an equally large, fast-paced organization. Your Austrian media knowledge is outstanding. And your verbal and written German and English are impeccable. If you can add experience within the beauty sector, then all the better.

  • 1-2 years of professional experience in PR/communication
  • Study or further education in Marketing/Communication
  • SAP knowledge advantageous
  • High Beauty Affinity in the Lifestyle Environment
  • Independent, proactive approach, strong communicator, flexibility and passionate personality
  • Very good knowledge of German and English

Depending on professional qualifications and experience, we offer a gross annual salary of € 32.000,00.
